Say suppose a meeting is scheduled from 9am to 5pm.

Usually it starts at sharp 9am and extends after 5pm :(

Dei... Maadasamy! :P

Being a 'Software Engineer', I've started liking this IT culture of calling people by their names. Whoever it is.. even those HRs who are over 50yrs of age are addressed by their names. And the best part is they insist that we call them by their names. WOW!!! I'm loving it!

Soon things will get even better and the day when I'll call out 'dei Maadasamy' is not far away! :P

Cheers!!!

Why teachers were scared of me...

'Jack and Jill went up the hill'
OMG! I'm telling their moms right away.

'Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall'

Mr.Dumpty has fallen down and the teacher is happily singing rhyms here. Bad role model!

'Two little dicky birds sitting on a wall'
For heaven's sake! Leave them alone!

'Peter Peter pumkin eater
Had a wife and couldn't keep her'

He should not have married in the first place.

'Hot cross buns
Hot cross buns'

I'm hungry!

'Bah, bah, black sheep
Have you any wool'

Excuse me! Are you talking to a SHEEP???! (OMG)

"Johny, Johny, yes, papa"
Listening to class, no,papa
Look at the teacher, hahaha!

'Mary had a little lamb
Its fleece was white as snow'

A tiger ate that lamb.
THE END.

NO...This is not happening!

Had such an embarassing day. Thanks to my sister who has just now returned home from her fourth honeymoon..hehee ;)

I was quite jobless today(as usual) and was forwarding mails to my friends. Got an awesome mail from one of my friends and it had photos of a tourist resort in Kerala. As usual, I forwarded it to all my friends. Then forgot about it(Why would I want to remember.. I was not planning my honeymoon there... hehee)

After lunch, when I came back to my cubicle(the temporary one which I declared as 'my territory' after I found out that it wasnot allocated to anyone else), one of my friends asked me,"Hey.. Who is Deepika?"
I proudly said,"My sister"
"See your mail"
I very innocently opened my mailbox. Meanwhile my friend said,"She has 'replied to all' for ur mail"

My sis had 'by mistake'(this is what she said.. but i don't believe her) clicked on 'Reply to all' instead of 'Reply' and written, "Planning to go to this place for your honeymoon? ;)"

You can guess how I would have been teased by my friends (I don't wanna call them 'my friends' anymore :( )

And some ever loving sweethearts, who were unable to come in person to tease me were kind enough to mail it.

My bad days are not yet over!
:(

Almost right! :)

Yaay!!! I was almost correct with my prediction about the weather. It din't rain today.. atleast not till I reached my apartment gate.

And when it started raining, I managed to reach home without getting drenched.

Cheers!!! :)

To take or not to take

Today evening while I was returning home from OFFICE (yessssssss office... no more a student!), it started raining. As it was very hot in the morning, I din't expect it would rain in the evening. So no umbrella... got drenched! :)

Usually, I find people taking their umbrellas with them, the next day.. i.e., after they totally get drenched that day, they decide to take an umbrella the next day and you guessed it right! It won't rain that day.

So friends... I've decided not to take my umbrella tomorrow :)

See.. such bold decisions I'm taking these days! I'm a grown up now.

PS: Note pannungappa.. note pannungappa

Heavy rains, unknown lonely road, night time....

I was in such a situation today. Not alone though, Divya was with me. The funny two of us.

With a vision of munnaerifying in life and to prepare for a valid answer to the often asked koshtine 'enna kizichcha today?', we walked along the ECR. Finding the place was not easy.. Pawn broker shop was our landmark. Divs found it.. yaay! After entering a kurukku sandhu and before reaching a muttu sandhu, we found the place.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Started back home. (Don't worry divvy I'm not writing about you falling down near the gate. Adhdhan naan pudichutaen la..)

'We'll find a short cut', Div told. Went straight, turned left, wait! thats all I remember. Then we got distracted. Divs called T to know whether any 'better options' are available. I called up S to ask him to come and 'aikiyamaagify in our jothi'.

I thought Divs knew the way back home. Doubt lighta yetti paathuchu when she took a left turn just because there was a dog standing on the road turning right. Then later it got confirmed! She too dint know the way.

It started raining. No where to go. No shade to stand in. Then we found a tree. The area created a dhigil atmosphere.

'Aiyaiyo!', suddenly a voice from behind.
I almost died of fear. A lady was standing behind us, complaining about the rain. How come she came there suddenly?
'May be its a ghost!', I thought.
Din't tell div.. din't wanna scare her. She would run away, as she did during our school days. But that was just a dog.. no no a puppy. Adhukae pichchukittu odita. NO, I'm not telling her. But she too got scared on seeing that lady, could read it from her face. We decided its better to start walking instead of standing there with that ghosty aunty.

The road, like any other road in India, had pools everywhere. Already drenched, now this car kaaran came in full speed and splashed water on us.
'Yaaai', I shouted and the car stopped.
'Pochu pochu, he is gonna scold', Divs told.
But the car left.
'Phew!!'
'Why did you shout?'
'Oh did I shout? I din't realise it. Thaana vanduruchu..'
'Din't you get scared when the car stopped?'
'Cha cha... It was his mistake. Not ours. Why should we be afraid?!', I told with all the geththu I could show on my face. Actually was damn scared! Yes I was!!

Why din't he slow down the car while crossing us. Too bad! I remembered 'Kaadhal sadugudu' movie. Vikram did it, why can't this guy. May be he would have.. if the gals were a bit more beautiful... sob sob! Seri freeya vidu!

Still walking.. clueless about the way. My slippery slippers added up to the comedy.

Atlast found a familiar road. I was polambhifying about the archanais I'll be getting at home and Div was also doing the same.

Reached home praying that mom should not have come. Yaay! Mom was home.. I love my luck! Hell with it!

Blah blah blahh.. et al. Matter over.

Mobile ae pirichchu potu drying it.
Thought of keeping the wet money in oven like in 'Nala Damayanthi' movie. Mom is at home.. will try it some other day.

Typing all this now.. with the satisfaction of kizhichufying something today other than just the calender date.

My trip to Mysore

Went to mysore recently with my family..

Things I liked in the trip:

This was a long awaited vacation with my family.. as all(except me) are very busy. Had fun spending time with my family!

The security in the Chennai central station.. WOW!! We left on 13th, two days before independence day, so the security was tight! There was no checking in Mysore railway station though.. So yaay Chennai is safer!

I really liked our hotel room.. except that the floor was icy chill!

Palace.. woohoo..What a place!! I wish I could live there.. for atleast a day(naah.. for ever!)

Tipu Sultan's summer palace! Though we reached there just few minutes before closing time, we did manage to have a good look around the place.

The spirit of patriotism that I suddenly got when I heard about Tipu's stand against the English. I seriously wanted to be a part of the freedom fight! Boohoo.. Its all over long back!

The lake we visited.. forgot the name.. but it was good!

Zooooooooooo.. I love animals!! Best part of our trip I would say!!!!

The gorilla.. ummmah!

Rhino enclosure.. *flashback*.. ezzzh ezzzh ezzzh.. many many years ago.. I got lost in the same place. Yeah i did get lost.. what happened is.. The rhino walked along the fence with me.. I thought it was a game so I started walking along the fence as well! Everything went on well until it lost interest in me.. and went off. Only then did I realise that I was lost.. Thanks to the rhino! Whew! Good that my family managed to find me(for which my sis is repenting till now) I wondered if it is the same rhino.. anyways it din't recognise me!

The cute kutti elephant.. it came running towards people. The way the calf ran off when the mahout shouted 'aye illi bha'(hey come here!) Till date I din't know that elephants knew kannadam!

The crocs.. and the way leading to that place.. wow! Just out of words!!

Journey back home.. Had a good sleep in train! mmm.. may be they'd washed the pillow covers n sheets this time!

Things I din't like(hate is a harsh word..) in the trip:

Though the security in the railway station impressed me.. suddenly the scanner stopped working and we had to wait for a few minutes before someone came and repaired it.

The pillow and sheets they provided in the train.. YAK!!! It was my mistake.. I should not have smelled it! It must have been ages since they washed it.

Speaking in tamil.. a big NO. The waiter in a hotel gave me a weird look when I spoke in tamil.. then din't attend to us properly. So from then on all of us zipped up our mouths and only my dad did all the talking..(yeah he knows kannadam!)

The food there.. Oh God!! yaaki!!

Brindhavan Gardens was closed for security reasons.

The roadside shops there. How the shopkeepers bug the tourists to buy stuff.. and the price they quote! happaa.. for things that are worth only Rs.20 they charge Rs.500... tourist na enna illichchavaaya (but yes they are!)

Most of the tourist spots are closed by 5PM.. What'll the people do after 5 I wonder.. May be they lock themselves up in their houses..

A whole day spent on going to various temples.. phew!! My mom is hopeless..

Spent most of the time drinking coffee(ahh how much coffee I drank!!).. taking medicines.. applying amruthanjan.. blowing my nose.. and pretending to be fine!

Was really embarrassed when the monkeys got frightened when I sneezed.. aachooo.. *sniff* *sniff* (Thank God! no one saw..)

Pitied the tigers there.. such small cages!
(NOTE TO ASLAM : Don't go to the mysore zoo. If you go.. I'm sure your blood vessels will burst on seeing the plight of the big cats there!)
They were roaming in the cages restlessly(cages were not big enough to use the word 'roam'.. but still for the lack of proper word..) The lions.. err lion.. there was just one.. bore adikaadhu?! I wanted to give it a big hug saying 'Don't worry dear..I'm here..' but fearing 'communication gap' I dropped that idea..

Things for which I din't know how to react (silar siripaar silar azhuvaar.. naan epdi react panradhunu theriyaama muzhichchaen!):

The climate. It was cold there.. if we'd gone there anyother time I would have surely enjoy it! But this time I had cold.. and due to the climate it worsened and I ended up with fever.

One of the temples was closed when we reached. I really felt relieved that I need not stand in the long queues.. but on the other hand felt bad seeing my mom getting upset for this.

In Tipu's summer palace..
'Entry fee for Indian citizens Rs.5 Foreigners Rs.100'

Have you ever heard of this crow story.. really funny! There is a white crow in Mysore. People there have a belief that the day when the crow drinks cauvery water the whole world will be destroyed. What crap! If thats true why not just kill that crow?! May be they have a story for that too.. GOK!!

Back home now..
Home Sweet Home!

Thamizh Vaazhga!!!

Whats wrong with my thamizh(see how correctly i've written it!)
May be at times I speak wrongly.. thats not coz I donno the language.. just that I concentrate more on WHAT I speak rather than HOW I speak!

I really really hate my sis when she laughs at me.. when I watch my all-time-favourite program...
'Thamizh Paechchu Engal Uyir Moochchu'

'Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.'
How did Einstein know about my sufferings?
He truly IS a genius!

Really felt like crying! :((

All of a sudden, I felt gloomy yesterday evening.
'I'll feel better if I take a nap', I thought. Yeah!! I was wrong as usual... din't feel any better!

'May be I'll feel better if I chat with friends.'
So switched on my compy.. yep! one friend online

me: hi
friend1: hi
f1: wats up?
me: me feeling baaaaaad... mood out!
f1: y

f1: ok.. cheer up!

(unakku pudingikka pogudhuda...)
me: bon appetite!
f3: thanks.. good night..
f3: sweet dreams..
(idhu onnudhan korachal!)
f3: byeeeeeeee
me: bye!

Chatting with friends to change mood - BAD IDEA!

So, I had no other option but to console myself! (poor soul)
Watched tv till 11.. sat in the balcony till 2..(heck.. i couldn't find the mp3 player.. so had to sit there quiet.. counting stars!)

There was only one star in the sky.. all alone!
'Just like me!', I thought.

P.S. 1: 'idhu comedy bloga illa serious bloga',u may wanna ask
'therilaiyae pa..'(nayagan style..)
But even if u think 'idhu mokka blog'.. like many others do.. keep it with urself..

P.S. 2: Today morning my friend no.1 did bother to ask me how my mood is..
f1: howz ur mood now?
me: quite the same..
